Local cardistry clubs?

I’m thinking mostly like in university. They’ve got tons of clubs, so do some high schools. Has anybody ever set up a local cardistry club where people get together weekly or whatever and just jam, explore new concepts, talk about the latest releases… Doesn’t have to be in some educational facility either, I mean there are tons of magician “rings” all over the place.

At some point there could be a goal of some sort of performance by the end of the term. That gives you something to work towards throughout the meetings.

It would also help to get more and more people interested in the art.

Have you done it? If not, why not? What would you need to start one, and what would you like to see in one if it existed? There could even be guidelines as to what would be a good club, or maybe some sort of helpful opportunities/kits from larger cardistry-related organizations.
