Boxed Deck Submission: “One Deck”
So here is one of the first submissions I received.
Good: Arm roll. Going to the drum beat to finish it off. Eager to get a submission going FAST, really cool. Flipping the deck in the air to the back of the hand.
Bad: Too many flipbacks, without purpose. I think many of us feel that since the flipback is easy to do and we see it all the time, it’s lost a bit of meaning to us. But to laymen, it should be like… what the hell, how did that get to the back of your hand?
Also, there’s a prime example in this video of something I don’t want to see — when he knocks the deck up with his fist and it goes haywire. What was that?
Also, there was no presentation of the deck at all. Can you imagine seeing this routine performed lived? What comes before or after? When is the deck presented?
All that being said, I’m glad this guy actually had the desire and energy to go through and film a video of his efforts. Kudos! Feel free to take these suggestions and make another one!
