Boxed Deck Submission: “I Like Box” by Vincent_Dark

Here’s another submission to the boxed deck challenge!

This submission wins the best video title award.

WHAT I LIKED:

The video title got me in a good mood.

He bothered to use a backdrop, get a nifty hat on, and some matching clothes.

Look at those aerial moves with NO “safety hand!” The flip to the inside of his elbow, and the kick to flipback, were all very smooth. I’m not sure how often he can do them, but it was great to see that they were clean in the video he presented. (It’s like Skateboarding.. some moves you just can’t do every time, but sometimes you need to get that shot/video! Think Tony’s 900, all the bails you see…)

The moves were fairly well flowing together, with little fumbles or hesitation.

TO IMPROVE:

The deck should probably be presented at the beginning of your video. What are you working with? We know because we are expecting boxed deck videos, but what about an audience who didn’t know that?

Get pants with thicker/stiffer material. Some things are better left to the imagination! lol

I like the backdrop and how you stay within it. But maybe make sure it’s centered if it can’t totally cover what’s behind it (like the door).

Work on the flipback technique! It’s a flipBACK, not a flipSIDEWAYS, very common mistake. I used to do it too.

The music is so epic, I wish the routine would have fit it better, especially since you were playing it live. It would be great if you could get the music in through editing too, but I’m guessing you were restricted by format or DRM.

Again, the video’s at: http://cardistrz.com/post/21177637
