Let’s get it started

So most of the first day spent with my workhorse was browsing websites, sending some e-mail, and downloading stuff.

Great, eh?

Finally I got my Adobe software going, and it’s pretty damn sweet so far.

I spent 2 hours on a Technical Assistance phone line trying to get the font I use for the Decknique logo available in Photoshop and all that good stuff. Even though I was able to properly install the font in Font Book, it just wasn’t showing up.

Usually I’d just look for another font, but it was the Decknique font!!! Those 2 hours felt so unproductive, plus I was using my cell phone which cut off half way through my first knowledgable guy, and then for the other one I had to hold the phone in some weird way so it would keep charging. I’m trying to avoid getting a new (i?)phone until I move to the States, so it’ll have to do for now.

Can’t wait to actually get some real development work going here.

Of course, a more powerful box isn’t a magical solution to good-quality productions. It just helps make you more productive. If you don’t know how to use it, it won’t do you any good.

Time to go over some of the video ideas I’ve had but said “screw it” (or some more vulgar version thereof).
